Polyscias Hawaiiana Ming - Aralia Ming 65 cm
Polyscias Hawaiiana Ming - Aralia Ming - small, indoor, branching trees. They grow in an upright and compact manner, making them suitable even in smaller spaces. Polyscias translates from the Greek as "many" and "shade", a reference to their abundant foliage.
Polyscias Ming has fine, elegant leaves that are made up of many leaflets. They may look fragile, but fortunately this is an adaptable plant so long as it is kept in a warm, humid environment. Perfect to add a touch of oriental style and beauty to your home.
Light: Polyscias Ming prefers moderate to bright, indirect light but can also adapt to shade. Avoid direct sunlight as this may scorch the plant.
Watering: Water when the soil has become slightly dry at the top. Better to keep them slightly dry than to overwater. Use soft water if possible.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity levels. Dry air may cause leaf drop. Mist regularly. Ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.
Temperature: Likes things warm, so anything above 15°C will suit it well. For best results find a place with a temperature of 18-29°C.
Feed: Feed once a month with a balanced fertiliser during the growing period.
Height and grow rate: The Ming Aralia is a slow-growing plant once established, and will typically reach an ultimate height of 1 to 2 metres.
Origin: Polyscias Ming is native to Polynesia.
Toxicity: May be considered toxic. Keep away from pets and children to be on the safe side.
